A new moving entertainment that aims to portray Le Mans’ history –great events and everyday occurrences – through the people who wrote it. You’ll see Scarron, Cyrano de Bergerac, Henry II Plantagenet, Eleanor of Aquitaine and the common people… And a few gargoyles… As you walk round the cathedral, you’ll discover Scarron’s house, the Bishop’s House and other unusual places.
Every Friday. Meet at Place Saint-Michel at 9.00 pm (top of the steps of the Place du Jet d’eau, Jacobins).

He’s set an exam for his students, who have applied to join the Brotherhood of Cathedral Builders, and he needs your help with the marking! As the questions and puzzles are posed, he reveals the origin of the name “cathedral”, the “Royal Porch “, etc. You can also enjoy listening to the organs of the Saint-Julien Cathedral and you’ll meet Claudel, Du Bellay, Ronsard and others…
