The Banquet of the Conservatoire

Five thrones sit behind one side of the table as the Queen, King, the King's son and his wife enter. The fifth place… at the end of the table remains unoccupied until the entrance of a fairy, half magician, half witch, alters the pace of the scene.
Throughout this banquet, the Queen, the King and troubadours brave cavaliers and strange fairies to tell us about the betrayal of Guenievre, the story of Tristan perjured for the love which leads him to death, the misfortunes of Lancelot and the sweet cruelty of the ladies in a bygone era.

The courtyard of the Conservatoire sets the stage for the banquet. In the presence of Alienor, Berengere, Henry, Richard and Cassandre, chalices, dishes, bowls and goblets are laid out on a long table draped in cloths and rugs and scattered with petals.
